Program Overview

• Program Length: 80 Clock Hours

• Program Duration: 8 weeks

• Program Format: Classroom-Based Instruction

• Tuition Cost: $950  |  Non-refundable Registration fee: $65

• Day Program meets: Tuesday / Thursday  |  9:00am - 2:00pm

• Evening Program meets: Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday  | 5:00pm - 8:30pm

Admission Requirements

• Be at least 17 years of age (a currently enrolled high school senior at time of registration)

• Have a valid Driver's License or Government-Issued Photo ID

• Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Ability to pass a drug screening

• Ability to pass a background check

• Demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Textbook Requirement Notice

Please note that textbooks are not included in tuition at this time and must be purchased separately by students prior to the start of class. 

The required textbook for the Pharmacy Technician program is:

Graduation Requirements

To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must:

• Maintain satisfactory attendance

• Successfully complete all required coursework and assessments

• Achieve a minimum passing course average

• Demonstrate competency in required pharmacy technician skills

CPhT Certification

The Pharmacy Technician Training Program is designed to prepare students for the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians), a national certification examination administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Upon successful completion of the program, eligible students may schedule and take the ExCPT examination, which is administered on-site through New Path Health Career Center.

The current NHA ExCPT examination fee is $129 and is not included in the program tuition. This fee covers one examination attempt and initial registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

Students are responsible for meeting all eligibility requirements established by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) prior to testing.
