Hybrid/Online Nursing Assistant Program

The Hybrid Nursing Assistant program is an online comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential for providing basic care to patients in hospitals and to residents of long-term care facilities. This program integrates online instruction, in-person lab skills check off, and clinical experiences. The coursework is the same as the traditional on-site CNA program and is also 4 weeks in length. 

For the in-person lab skills training, hybrid students will select one "A Day" and one "B Day" from the posted available dates in the online classroom thread to complete their required hands-on skills training and attend the school in person on the two dates selected. The online lecture component is accessed through an online virtual learning platform, offering students guided study through the various course modules. It is ideal for students who are proficient in the use of technology, independent in their work processes and are in need of a flexible classroom schedule.

CNA Program Enrollment Checklist

☐ Submit the Online Registration Form to enroll

☐ Pay the $65 Non-Refundable Registration Fee

• Your seat is not reserved until the registration fee has been received

☐ Watch for Your Welcome Email

• Once your registration form and fee have been processed, you will receive a Welcome Packet within 2–3 business days confirming your enrollment and reserving your seat in the upcoming class

☐ Stay connected by checking your email regularly for important course updates, reminders, and class information

Required Enrollment Documents

Please begin gathering and submitting the following documents as soon as possible:

☐ Valid Driver's License or Government-Issued Photo ID

☐ High School Diploma, GED, or Transcript

☐ TB Skin Test (Current within the last 12 months)

☐ Hepatitis B Vaccination Record, Positive Titer, or Signed Declination Waiver (if applicable)

☐ Any additional program-specific documents requested by the school

Please note: Enrollment is not considered complete until all required documents have been received and approved

Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test Notice

All health care enrolled students are required to have a current TB Skin Test on file before participating in clinical training according to the AL Department of Public Health office.

If a TB Skin Test is needed, you may visit your local Alabama Department of Public Health (ALDPH) office. 

The cost of the test will be deducted from your tuition as long as it was obtained during your class registration or active cohort period.

Please keep your receipt and provide a copy to the school office for verification and reimbursement purposes.

Alabama CNA State Exam Information

• Upon completion, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from New Path Health Career Center and you will be eligible to take the Alabama Nurse Aide Exam  at our School. 

• The cost to take the Alabama Nurse Aide Certification Exam is $125. This fee is not included in your program tuition.
